Terms of Use

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to Hermes Google Workspace (Hermes), a private tool used for bookkeeping and document-search workflows. By authorizing or using Hermes, you agree to these terms.

Private tool

Hermes is intended only for authorized internal users. It is not a public service or an offer to provide accounting, tax, legal, or fiduciary services to the public.

Google account access

Hermes uses Google OAuth to request read-only access to Gmail and Google Drive. You decide which account to authorize and may revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions. Revocation stops future access but does not automatically delete artifacts that you previously downloaded.

Authorized use and your responsibilities

You may use Hermes only with accounts and data that you are authorized to access and only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for securing your Google account, Mac mini, and any downloaded data.

Hermes can help locate and organize source documents, but its results may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for reviewing bookkeeping entries, tax and VAT filings, financial statements, and other decisions. Seek a qualified professional when appropriate.

Availability and changes

Hermes is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. These terms may be updated when the tool or legal requirements change; the date above will show the latest revision.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated to protect accounts, data, or the service, or when these terms are violated. You may stop using Hermes at any time and revoke its Google permissions.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how Hermes handles Google user data.
